I saw some other commentary on this.  Seems that foreigners are not worthy
of honorary elder stock.  When the sumo association instituted honorary
elder stock for Taino no one ever imagined that a foreigner would become
the winningest rikishi of all time and not only meet their informal
criteria of 20 basho wins, but totally smash it.
