Here is what I said on another forum:
" Doesn’t really matter. If Takakeisho wins the next basho he will be
Yokozuna. Terunofuji may never be well enough to fight again and the JSA is
desperate for a new leader. It will be a short road for Keisho as he hasn’t
demonstrated the consistency of a Yokozuna. Having a losing record
(injuries not counted) every other basho will have him retired in a year."

The YDC chair just confirmed it.  The plus for Takakeisho is he will be
able to take off every other basho to save his body.  That might keep him
around for a while.
