Study Finds Hackers Hit Every 39 Seconds

Researchers at the University of Maryland set up four computers with
weak security to uncover how often hackers would try to break in. The
results: 2,244 attempted hacks per day. The most commonly tried user
names were "admin" and "root," while popular guesses for passwords were
"123," "password" and "test."
