Vista's twofold sales boost: Microsoft should thank PC market growth

These figures give some idea of just how much Windows sales are tied
to bundling with new computers—Microsoft does not release sales
figures for the retail box versions of its operating systems, but it's
clear that they are a mere drop in the bucket compared to new computer
sales.
